Gulf Coast Disaster Recovery
We live on the gulf coast along with millions of our closest friends and neighbors. Hurricanes and other natural disasters are simply a way of life. So we offer a few helpful hints to those who need them and if you need additional services after the storm we are here to help.
Gather information
You should already have your information from the pre-storm activity. Now you will need to gather information relative to your next steps. These include insurance information, contacts for building repair contractors and any services information that may be required.
Plan & Take Action
You should first check to ensure there are no immediate hazards within your dwelling. This could be something like a gas leak or exposed electrical hazards. Once verified, call Envirotest and we will help you determine your action plan and guide you through the steps to successful implementation.
- Review the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) health considerations before, during, and after a storm.
- Remember to follow the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)food and water safety guidelines during disasters.
- Review the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) suggestions for health and environmental safety in disaster preparedness.
Recovery
The recovery process starts when you decide to take action.
